Privacy Policy
Last updated: 31 July 2026
Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data across the Helm ecosystem, including the Helm website, the Helm platform and Creator Pro™. It applies to visitors, agency users and creators.
We aim to be clear about what we process, why we process it and the choices available to you. Depending on the services you use, some parts of this policy may not apply to you.
Who we are
Helm Ventures is the operating name behind the Helm ecosystem, including HelmOne™, HelmGrowth™, HelmControl™, Helm Intelligence™, Creator Hub™ and Creator Pro™.
For privacy enquiries, contact hello@helmone.ai. For Creator Pro™ support, contact support.creator@helmone.ai.
Connected Platforms
Helm allows users to connect third-party creator and messaging services. We refer to these collectively as Connected Platforms.
Connected Platforms are operated independently of Helm and are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Connecting a platform is always initiated by you, and access can be revoked by you at any time.
Information we collect
Depending on the services you use, we may process:
- Account and contact details, such as name, work or personal email address, country and the handles you choose to share.
- Business information provided in enquiry, application, assessment or quote forms.
- Usage and device data, such as pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, browser type and referral source.
- Support and communications data, including messages you send us.
- Data made available through Connected Platforms where you have authorised a connection.
How we use information
Depending on the services you use, we may use personal data to:
- Provide, operate, secure and improve the Helm ecosystem.
- Respond to enquiries, deliver reports and manage applications, onboarding and account activation.
- Produce analytics, insights and recommendations within the products you use.
- Send service communications and, where permitted, relevant product updates.
- Meet legal, accounting and regulatory obligations, and prevent misuse or fraud.
Connected Platform data
Where you authorise a connection, we may process data made available by that Connected Platform in order to display it back to you and to power the features you have asked for, such as performance reporting, revenue reporting and workflow tooling.
We process this data only for the purposes of providing the relevant service. We do not sell users' personal data. Access is limited to what the connection permits, and you can disconnect a Connected Platform at any time, after which we stop retrieving new data from it.
Legal bases
Where data protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on one or more of the following: performance of a contract with you; our legitimate interests in operating, securing and improving our services; your consent, for example for non-essential cookies and certain marketing communications; and compliance with legal obligations.
Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time without affecting processing carried out beforehand.
Helm as controller or processor
For our website, marketing activity, enquiries and our own account administration, we act as the controller of personal data.
Where an agency customer uses Helm to manage its own business data, that customer is generally the controller and we act as a processor on their instructions. In those cases, the customer's own privacy notice governs how that data is used, and requests about it should be directed to them.
Service providers and subprocessors
We use a limited set of trusted providers to run our services, including hosting and infrastructure, database and storage, email delivery, analytics, error monitoring and customer communication tools.
Providers act on our instructions under contractual commitments covering confidentiality and data protection, and may only process personal data as needed to deliver their service to us.
International data transfers
Our providers may process data in countries outside the UK and the European Economic Area. Where personal data is transferred internationally, we seek to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as standard contractual clauses or an equivalent recognised transfer mechanism.
Data retention
We keep personal data for as long as needed for the purpose it was collected, including to provide the service, maintain records, resolve disputes and meet legal obligations.
Retention periods vary by data type and context. When data is no longer required, we delete it or reduce it to a form that no longer identifies you.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law and any legal exceptions that apply, you may have the right to:
- Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Ask us to delete data where there is no continuing reason for us to keep it.
- Object to or ask us to restrict certain processing.
- Request portability of data you have provided to us.
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
- Complain to your local data protection authority.
Security
We use technical and organisational measures intended to protect personal data, including encryption in transit, access controls, least-privilege permissions, environment separation and logging.
No online service can be guaranteed to be completely secure, so we keep our controls under review and ask you to protect your own account credentials.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our services evolve or as legal requirements change. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated, and material changes will be highlighted where appropriate.
